                     GILSON WARRANTY ANNOUNCEMENT

Effective January 1, 2008, Gilson Inc has assumed responsibility for honoring all warranty work associated with Gilson instruments less than one year old.

If you believe that your instrument falls under the Gilson Warranty, please call 1-800-Gilson1 

The Calibrate, Inc. warranty service has not changed.  Calibrate, Inc. warrants our service, including parts, for a period of 6 months following the service date.

 As always, the dedicated professionals working with Calibrate, Inc. are available to answer any questions you may have.  If you are confused as to whether your needs may be covered by the Calibrate, Inc. warranty or the Gilson warranty, please don’t hesitate to call us at 1-800-253-7064.


Calibrate, Inc is delighted to handle your warranty service needs through our Calibration Laboratory.

To determine the warranty status of your pipette please read the following: 

CALIBRATE, INC. WARRANTY ON SERVICE POLICY 

Calibrate, Inc. warranties service, parts(installed by Calibrate, Inc.) and repair for 6 months.  Misuse or mishandling of the instrument voids any  warranty claimIn order to submit a  pipette for warranty claim please ensure:  

  • Calibrate, Inc. is notified of the warranty claim within 180 days (6 months) of the service date.
  • Pipette has been used properly and in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
  • Pipette has been serviced with in last 180 days by Calibrate, Inc.

If your pipette meets the above warranty guidelines, please complete the Warranty Service Mail-In Request Form below, and use the Comments/Special Instructions field to indicate the nature of any problems you may be experiencing with your pipette(s).


Be sure to download and complete the Statement of Decontamination . The completed and signed Statement of Decontamination  must be included with your shipment of pipettes.

Our Calibration Laboratory will contact you upon receipt of your pipettes to clarify your service and repair needs, and discuss any concerns you may have. If you so desire, please feel free to contact the Calibration Laboratory at 925-687-7001 as we are happy to address any concerns you may have.


Shipment Options: As a warranty service customer, you have 2 options.                                                                                              
1. E-mail a shipping label to me.

2.  You may choose to ship the pipettes to our Calibration Laboratory at your own expense.

If you do not receive an email confirmation, please call our Communications Center at 1-800-253-7064 as we may be experiencing technical difficulties, and want to be sure that your warranty service needs are addressed.

Submitting this form indicates that you have read and agree to our Decontamination Policy. 
 

Calibrate, Inc.  Decontamination Policy

Calibrate Inc. and its employees are not licensed nor authorized to receive or work with radioactive materials, hazardous chemicals or biological agents.  As such, Calibrate Inc. requires that all pipettes and other volumetric apparatus presented to our employees for calibration and preventive maintenance must be decontaminated thoroughly prior to our handling of the instruments.

The Calibrate Inc. Statement of Decontamination must be completed by an authorized customer representative prior to our handling of customer instruments.  A Statement of Decontamination is supplied to the on-site customer at the time of the scheduled service, and is also available on our website, http://www.pipetpeople.com for download.  Pipettes that are mailed to our Calibration Laboratory must be accompanied by a completed and signed Statement of Decontamination.

Servicing Requirements
How many pipettes are you sending?

 Calibrate, Inc. provides Level 3 Service for our Warranty Customers.  Our  Warranty Service insures that your pipette(s) are fully inspected and repaired.  Each pipette is calibrated to operate within Calibrate, Inc. Specifications.  You will receive a data sheet with each pipette documenting its performance at the time of the calibration.
